Clay Hammac
Youth Minister
Clay's goal is to tell as many people as he can about this good news and to make heaven crowded. He strives to live by the law of Christ— in four words: Love God. Love people.
Throughout his life as a young man, a husband, a career cop, and a father, he has witnessed the hand of God at work in powerful and personal ways. Even in the valleys and seasons of heartache, God has remained faithful. In fact, it’s often been in those moments of pain that he has drawn closest to Him.It’s his heart’s desire to continue investing in young adults, raising up a generation of Christ-followers who want to see the Gospel spread to the ends of the earth.
Clay and his bride Laura met in college at the University of South Alabama in 2003. They got married in 2004 during graduate school over Christmas break.
They have four children: John, Reagan, Joey, and Emma.
During the last 12 years, Laura has homeschooled all four kids and Clay has served in law enforcement with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for over two decades.
Their greatest joy as parents is knowing that each of their children has come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and each has surrendered their lives to follow Him.
The Hammac Family makes their home on a small farm just outside of Columbiana, where life is full of faith, family, and the occasional goofy golden retriever named Roman and a sweet old rescued farm dog named Wanda.
