Principal Function:

The Assistant Worship Leader collaborates with the primary Worship Leader to guide the church’s music ministry. This role inspires and enhances congregational worship and fellowship, engages individuals across all age groups in diverse music experiences and education, and promotes music as a vital part of personal worship and spiritual growth.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Primary Worship Leader.
Assist in leading worship services every Sunday.
Attend weekly rehearsals with the worship team to prepare for upcoming services.
Lead the worship team and direct the Sunday service in the absence of the primary Worship Leader due to illness, travel, or other reasons.
Contribute to Music Ministry Growth.
Mentor team members to help them develop their musical skills.
Actively recruit new volunteers to join the worship team.
Organize music-focused events within the church and as outreach efforts to foster worship opportunities for Hope Mountain Church, the Calera community, and beyond.
Partner with the Youth Pastor to develop a consistent worship experience tailored to youth.
- Create and lead worship sets specifically designed for youth services.
- Mentor and train youth members with musical interests, equipping them to grow their skills and eventually lead youth worship.
Partner with the Children’s Program Leader to develop a consistent worship experience tailored to children.
- Create and lead worship sets for children’s special events and services.
- Establish and lead a children’s choir program, using worship to deepen children’s understanding of their faith.
